The Hijrah, or also known as the Holy Journey, was the journey that Muhammad, the Islamic prophet and his followers, undertook from Mecca to Medina in 622 A.D. He was known to be the messenger of God. This migration changed the lives of many people because it helped shape the modern world of today and it had an impact on worldwide civilizations. The Prophet Muhammad was born in Mecca in the year 570 A.D. He is the founder of the religion Islam. He was accepted by Muslims all over the world as the last prophet of God.
