A Home Away From Home
As we adventure out into the world we find new places that we would like to call “home” because we currently revisit that place time and time again. I found that place in Florida. I may not visit there every month, but when I do, I feel relaxed and at peace. The smells, sounds, people, atmosphere, and activities keep me coming back. There’s nothing better to me then the environment of everyday sunshine and the beach. My family and I have been going to Florida ever since I was a little girl.
I had my first experience riding in a plane and visiting Florida when I was 6 months old and have been going back to visit ever since. I have been to numerous places in Florida, but my “home away from home” typically when I visit is Apollo and Cocoa Beach. I have visited and enjoy spending time at Disney World, Sea World, Clearwater beach, Orlando and Key West in Florida with my family and friends. The beach is my favorite place where I can rest, relax and soak up the sunshine. To describe Florida in one word would be difficult, but if I had to, it would be alluring! You have the palm trees around you, sand in your toes, blistering Florida sun beaming on your skin, and tropical music playing from the tiki hut bars around you. What more could you ask for? There are more than enough activities to do in Florida to keep anyone coming back. My favorites are: boating, water skiing, surfing, shopping, sightseeing, partying, jet skiing, parasailing, meeting new people and spending time with family and friends. With all this liveliness, how could one ever get bored? The Florida environment is more than beautiful. The smell in the air of palm trees and the sound of the ocean is absolutely awesome. There are so many things to do and look at, like sitting on the porch of a beach condo late at night or taking a walk on the beach; the only sound you hear are the ocean waves brushing up onto the
