In fact, they asked the governor to veto the diploma measure. “ Evers wrote in his letter to Governor Scott Walker that easing requirements for a teacher's aide would not be in the best interest of the children. The Wisconsin Parents Association(WPA) created a petition opposing the budget bill change, maintaining that it would undermine the home school diploma. In a letter sent out to home school students, the WPA cites that whenever a home school diploma is questioned, they are available to demonstrate the validity of a home school education. “Our statewide home-school organization worked to create the good homeschooling law we have in Wisconsin and have worked for 31 years to maintain it despite continual challenges,” said Larry Kaseman, Executive Director of the WPA, in an emailed …show more content…
