Homeless Day Short Story

I woke up bright and early which was a little unusual. I got up and walked into the kitchen because i could hear the whole family in there. I walked in to be greeted by a wonderful smell of bacon and eggs, i knew this smell because there was a breakfast shop right by the old bridge. I watched the family go on with their business. The girl soon walked over to me, sat down and started to pet me. Later on they brought their plates piled high with food to the table. I followed them and watched them eat while they watched TV. They soon were done with breakfast and they all went their separate ways to go get dressed. After an hour the whole family was in the main room dressed and ready to go out. I got up feeling offended and smacked him clean across the face. the mom and the dad looked at me with an odd face and said Lizzy as loud as they could. the dad was tired of me and he shoved me away from him and the dog. I was more sad than I have ever been and so I just sat beside the TV and watched them. I watched all of their movements and even the dogs walking back in where he was sleeping previously to sit down again sleep. the family wasn't doing much just sitting there being normal. I felt so sad that I felt that I could just give up on life and never try again. I knew it wasn't that big of a deal because it would just it was just a dog no it's just a simple family but I felt more that, I felt that me and this family had a real thing, a real connection. Hours passed by as my sorrow stayed. I watch the family get tired then walk back to bed, I expected the dog to sleep out here with me and I expected it to be a rough night. What surprised me was the dog followed them back into their room. I'd never thought That they would let an animal sleep in the same room as them while they were sleeping. as they disappeared down the hallway I walked away.
