Homelessness: Inhumane For Homeless People

In a homeless person’s everyday life he or she may experience and suffer the same illnesses experienced by people with homes, but at rates three to six times higher. This includes potentially lethal communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and influenza, as well as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and hypertension. (O’Connell, 2005) “On average, about 700 homeless people die from hypothermia each year because of the lack of clothing to keep your body warm.” (Adney, 2010) All these homeless people dying leads me back to my global perspectives. With the help of the government or private investments, then these homeless people wouldn’t have to suffer the way they do. I feel as if it is inhumane to for all them to live the way
they do.
