Homemade Dry Shampoo
Significance of the Study

Some people don’t like washing their hair everyday because it takes time to dry, especially when you have long hair. And most of us know that constantly using heating tools on the hair can damage and harm it. Using dry shampoo can give your hair a break and still freshen it up by absorbing oil that the hair follicles create at the roots. It’s convenient especially on busy days when you don't have time to take a shower before returning to work, or during traveling when you don’t have access to a shower.

Why would anyone want to use dry shampoo, you ask? For one, it saves on non-recyclable packaging, because you can repeatedly use your own containers and, for another, many of the over-the-counter dry shampoos will cost you more than they’re worth. With the pollution and lifestyle changes, people need to equip themselves with health-conscious mindset by going natural to counteract the radical effects of modern day living.

This study will make things easier for people on especially busy days and rush hours. Furthermore, it will inspire the public to make their own products in their homes, especially that the ingredients are within reach, and the procedure is easy to follow. This will also help previous buyers save money because as we all know, store-bought dry shampoos are expensive. Furthermore, this research promotes frugal living and encourages one’s ingenuity.

Statement of the Problem

The study aspired primarily, to search for an alternative to regular shampoo by using all-natural products mixed together which can absorb oil that makes the hair look greasy without washing it with water. Secondarily, know whether it proves effective in cleaning the hair without the use of strong chemicals like in conventional liquid shampoos and commercially-produced dry shampoos. Lastly, make a simple and affordable preparation of it right in one’s home aside from the commercialized, expensive products we see in markets.

Don’t wash it too much. It is important that you don’t wash your curly hair every single day. This would only strip the hair of its natural oil, produced by the skin on your head. When it’s being washed every day, the hair becomes prone to dryness. It is wiser to wash it every other day, or maybe a few times a week. Also, another advice in the same category is to don’t wash, rinse and repeat, as that kind of washing works only for those who have a straight hair. In case you may need to, use conditioner in-between the washes. This way the sulfates, which can be found in most of the shampoos, won’t harm your hair.…
