Homemade Slime
Homemade Slime
This is a fun and easy slime to make. White glue can be used to make opaque slime. Make it with, or glue gel for translucent slime.

What You Need:
• Elmer's white glue or Elmer's school glue gel
• Borax (find in the laundry detergent aisle of the store)
Water
• Two bowls
• Food coloring (optional)
What You Do:
1. In one bowl mix 1/2 cup (4 oz) glue and 1/2 cup water. Food coloring will be added if you want colored slime.
2. In the other bowl, mix 1 teaspoon borax with 1 cup water until the borax is pretty much dissolved.
3. Add the glue mixture to the borax solution, stirring kinda slow.
4. The slime will begin to form immediately; stir as much as you can, then dig in and knead it with your hands until it gets less sticky.

To do that you will need the bowl you mixed the dry ingredients in, a whisk, 1-¼ cups of milk, 1 egg, and 3 tablespoons of butter. With the bowl you were using, you are going to make a hole in the middle of it with your hands. When you have made the hole add the egg in the hole. Once the egg is inside the hole, add the milk as well (the milk might overflow a little but that it is okay). Then, when you have poured the milk inside the bowl, microwave the butter. Once the butter is microwaved put it inside the hole and whisk everything together (the dry and…

Essentially, by combining guar gum and borax you can create slime. If that’s all you want to know, that’s okay. Usually, these names are not found on packaging, but by their scientific names. Guar gum is also known as polysaccharide, and borax is called sodium borate. This is why some people use eye drops as part of their slime solution. Eyedrops have sodium borate, which when mixed with glue (and occasionally baking soda) creates slime! The other option is borax, which can every so often be harmful when touched in powder form. There is much more about this, but it can get extremely confusing, so I’ll just stick to that.…
