Topic: Homeschooling as a basic form of education
Every child has the right for education. With quality education, they can grow to become productive citizens. In the near future they will be the nurturer of our country. That is why there are new ventures in the field of academics. Ways on escalating education in the most convenient way. And one of those is homeschooling. In homeschooling, the name itself tells that a child can be enrolled to school and learn his everyday lessons at home. The child will be provided with all the learning facilities he will be needing. He will study his lessons in the curriculum he is enrolled all by himself or with the aid of a privately hired tutor. He will be given exams to assess what he have learned. At least once a week the child and the teacher will meet whether in school or at home. Everything is completely the same as the normal way of studying except of course the environment. In school, students are tended to be taught holistically. This means not only in the academics but also in socialization. It is an important factor in molding one’s personality. For no man is an island like the saying says, it is essential to interact with others. School is an environment where all sorts of people are integrated for a common goal- to learn. Staying in such place for a year or more is an everyday lesson for a child’s social life. Homeschooled children may have lesser chance for having a normal social life. However, in that way a child can be protected from minor or intense violence experienced at school like bullying, hazing and others. Another advantage of it is that the child does not need to go further from home.
