Since its inaugural pilot episode on September 22, 1994 and over the span of ten years and 236 episodes ultimately ending on May 6th, 2004, the popular television sitcom Friends was one of the most beloved and unique shows of its time. The show follows the lives of six twenty-something friends; Joey, Chandler, Ross, Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe, as they survive the everyday chaos that is involved with living in New York City. All six characters had very unique personalities that blended together effortlessly and made the show an instant classic that would be appreciated for many years to come. This show was extremely popular among adult audiences when the show was aired during its first ten seasons and continues to see much popularity with a new era of older viewers due to reruns on television as well as television streaming services such as Netflix. The popularity and success of this show was the foundation for what we see in television sitcoms today and although many shows have tried to replicate the uniqueness, quirkiness, and beauty that the show is, none will ever compare to the beauty that this show was and continues to be.
One of the most obvious and adored friendships between characters on the show were between the characters Chandler Bing and Joey Tribbiani played by Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc respectively. The two of them were the best of friends as well as roommates in the apartment that they shared together that was right across the hall from Monica and Rachel. The episode in focus in this article is episode 216 named, The One Where Joey Moves Out, and more specifically the scenes where, Joey decides that he wants to move out of the apartment with Chandler after they got into an argument at a party that both of them attended.
