Jordan, Michael (1963–), American basketball player considered by many the greatest player in the history of the game. Standing 6 feet 6 inches tall, Jordan played both guard and forward. Above all, he has the uncanny ability, evidenced time and again in his professional career, to "take over" a game in its critical closing moments and ensure a victory for his team. Early in his career his athleticism, particularly his seeming ability to hover in midair while making dunk shots, earned him the epithet "Air Jordon," but his reputation eventually transcended the game, and he became one of a handful of international figures instantly recognizable by first name alone.…

The Prices and Incomes Accord was an agreement between the Australian Council of Trade Unions and the Australian Labor Party government in1983. The Accord developed at a time when the only response to inflation appeared to be to slow down the economy. Employers were not party to the Accord. Unions agreed to restrict wage demands and the government pledged to minimize inflation. The government was also to act on the social wage. At its broadest this concept included increased spending on education as well as welfare. This was seen as a method to reduce inflation without reducing the living standards of Australians. At the beginning of the Accord, only one union, voted against the Accord. The Accord continued for the whole period of the Labor government through seven stages including, after 1993, enterprise bargaining.…

The Gojira portrayed in Honda's film was the personification of the mass devastation brought about by nuclear testing and not merely just a monster. However, this narrative was heavily downplayed in the American remake by Morse. GKotM was edited in such a way that portrayed Godzilla as nothing more than a remorseless and unforgiving monster, out to cause massive destruction. Dr.Yamane's final remarks after having defeated Gojira, "but if we keep on conducting nuclear tests, it's possible that another Gojira might appear somewhere in the world again," was an obvious caution towards the consequences of continuous nuclear testing. Honda was clearly conveying that Gojira was unleashed as a product of human's selfish desire to dominate over nature.…

Honda is one of the world's biggest manufacturers of motor vehicles. It has a world wide market spreading from Asia to North America, Europe and other parts of the world. One of the reasons for Honda current success is that it used Japanese methods to build a proper production system in the UK. Producing a car from thousands of parts is a complex and difficult task. One small change in the production schedule will lead to a disastrous effect on the whole system. Traditionally, the final build at the assembly plant is controlled by what parts are available than what are planned. In Honda case, it organizes a production mechanism based on two philosophies: just in time and lean thinking. The purpose of just in time is to make sure that every part will arrive as scheduled for the assembler in UK. The application of lean thinking is to eliminate unnecessary waste between each step of the production flows. So non value added activities can be pulled out of the production system.…

. With high fuel prices and a weak US economy in June 2008, Honda reported a 1%sales increase while its rivals, including the Detroit Big Three and Toyota, havereported double-digit losses. Honda's sales were up almost 20 percent from thesame month last year. The Civic and the Accord were in the top five list of sales.7. Analysts have attributed this to two main factors.i. First, Honda's product lineup consists of mostly small to mid-size, highly fuel-efficient vehicles.ii. Secondly, over the last ten years, Honda has designed its factories to be flexible,in that they can be easily retooled to produce any Honda model that may be in-demand at the moment.8. The company has assembly plants around the globe located at China, USA,Pakistan, Canada, England, Japan, Belgium, Brazil, New Zealand, Indonesia,India, Thailand, and Turke…
