Benvolio not only demonstrates honesty, but also loyalty. He shows an example of his loyalty to Romeo, as he is depressed about love, as he loves someone and she does not love him back. As Benvolio gets the reputation of being a nice guy, he also can have a different side to him. While everyone is making fun of the nurse, Benvolio chips in after she says the wrong word, saying that he will “endite him to some supper” (2.4.120). When the nurse said the she “desire some confidence with you.” (2.4.119). The nurse meant to say conference, but said confidence due to her lack of education. Benvolio took advantage of the mistake, and chimed in his little joke of her. While Benvolio is portrayed as being a spotless, near-perfect guy, he has a side of him where he is unpredictable.
