THE PROBLEM AND ITS SETTINGS
In a “money-market” economy, people used to buy high quality products at low prices. The lower the price, the greater the quantity to be purchased, but not taking for granted the quality of the goods. This can be more apt to the basic necessities like meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, and the like for they are always needed in a household. As essentially given the largest part of the budget for instance in a family, food must be fully utilized. So, different methods of preserving food are introduced. One of the oldest technologies of preservation, as well as enhancing a particular food is “smoking.” This kind of preserving food is basically known for fish and meat. As we, the researchers, came up with an innovative idea in this line of technology, we tried to look at the feasibility to the market of honey flavored smoked “Tilapia”. Nowadays in Central Luzon, we have the best of smoked fish coming from the province of Bataan. In our planned study, we want to try this technology in our province of Nueva Ecija.
We, the researchers, believe that there is a very good market here in the province, particularly in the City of Cabanatuan, where there is a vast number of people who eat the said fishes. And for variation of taste, this would be of elite kind as pure honey from bees will be an additional ingredient. We believe this will be better than the smoked fish of Bataan. The technical aspect of this study will show manufacturing process of the proposed project. Therefore, this project will be tested by the researchers in the markets of Cabanatuan City. They will present the profitability, stability, and viability of the project as it affects the overall economic growth and development in the local small and medium enterprise; household; and the market.
In this study, we will include the information about the market strategy applicable in the industry, the technical, and the management and financial aspects of the business.
