Honors Program Application Essay

I am seeking entrance to the Honors Program because I am looking for a challenge. I have only been here at Howard University for a year, however, I believe I can take on more and push myself farther. In high school I was a member of honors classes and programs and although it was sometimes stressful and overwhelming, in the end the feeling I received was extremely rewarding and to be able to graduate knowing I attained not only high scholastics, but also high scholastics in an honors program would be so gratifying. The concept of striving farther and higher coincides with my personal morals and beliefs along with my goals and aspirations I wish to achieve in life and here at Howard. I have had a hard time getting involved at Howard I hope The honors program can encourage some more motivation for me to try harder and find more to get involved with. As for passions, I enjoy people, Spanish, cultures, helping others, and drawing. I have a multitude of ideas as for what I hope to join and be apart of next semester and this forthcoming school year and I am very excited to continue working with the organizations and clubs I have been working with and I am excited to extend my talents to other organizations and clubs. Nonetheless, outside of Howard I made sure I am involved. This summer I will be working with AmeriCorps, a service corporation and I am very excited. In addition, I will be going to Fiji as a part of IVHQ, an International Volunteer program and I will be building and kindergarten and helping the kindergarteners with Basic English, as they will be in the winter season while we are in our summer season. My involvement this summer perfectly coincides with my major and what I want to do with my life. I am an International Business; therefore my service on a local and international level will prepare me for my career and will be excellent to add to my
