The present report is the outcome of work spanning 8 months which included 4 months of intense field work. The report highlights the findings of a short term assessment of role of bee keeping with Apis cerana indica in the farm systems of marginal farmers in Dharampur taluka of Valsad district in the state of Gujarat. The work may seem to be a small term study but in reality it could be a stepping stone for larger benefits in terms of awareness, knowledge, documentation, orientation and implications as far as pollination and crop productivity are concerned. I first would like to thank the field investigators of the
