The article Horrific crash kills Yu Xu, 1st woman to fly China's J-10 fighter is a good example of the quote, " The best laid schemes o' Mice an' Men / Gang aft agley"(Burns 7). This article proves that something well planned can go very wrong. Yu Xu was a trained pilot from 2009, and certified to fly the J-10 in 2012 when she soloed in her fighter. The quote pulled from the poem, To a mouse by Robert Burns, means that there is always the possibility of something going awry. Capt. Yu Xu died on Saturday while on a routine training flight. It happened to be on the same day there was someone else flying recklessly and collided with her fighter. Yu Xu, and her co- pilot ejected them self's out for safety, but the wing of the aircraft hit Yu Xu,
