Hydrogen gas Balloons
Similarities Hot air balloons and hydrogen gas balloons have many similarities. One of them just so happen to be that they look alike. Back long ago Balloons that soared the air were referred as “ships of the air”. Both types of balloons [Hot air balloons & hydrogen gas balloons] function by the same law in science. Both balloons are used for and in recreational purposes. A balloon drifts over the ground without a motor or propulsion of any kind. The balloon travels with the wind, and must follow the wind’s direction and its speed. Therefore the balloon has exactly the same speed and direction over the ground as the wind. During a balloon flight, there appears to be no wind in the basket, the passengers feel no winds in their faces.
Differences In a Hot air balloon Pilots can control their ascent and decent by heating more hot air. Hot air balloons are mostly filled with hot carbon-dioxide and water whereas hydrogen gas balloons are filled with hydrogen. Hot air balloons use a burner to operate while the hydrogen gas makes the hydrogen gas balloon float up. The hot air balloon is pear shaped whereas the hydrogen gas balloon is spherical shape.
