Some similarities between communism and capitalism are that both emerged after the fall of feudalism and monarchy. For example, communism in Russia emerged after the fall of the feudal system and the monarchy. Capitalism also emerged in America as a result of their separation from the British Empire which was a monarchy at the time of the separation.
