Grandchildren should understand, make clear and adopt all the simple rules made by their grandparents and also keep in mind the consequences for violating each rule. Kids need to know what is required of them to pick up to behave in an appropriate manner. Simple guidelines such as never going out of the house without taking permission or picking up toys or are very easy for kids to learn and can also make look after grandchildren a more pleasurable experience for every grandparent. 3. Children should know all the consequences
The grandchildren should be taught all the consequences of their bad behavior will exactly be equal whether carried by the parent or the grandparent. For kids, steadiness is the key to learn good behavior. Punishment should be given on each of their bad behavior. 4. Children should respect their grandparents
Parents play an important role in teaching their kids to respect grandparents. Kids learn how to behave with their grandparents by observing how their parents behave with the grandparents. A respectful behavior should be modeled for children. Grandparents ought to be treated with all the respect and love by the parents and eventually the grandchild will give love and respect. Modeling a good conduct is a highly operative in the child discipline plan.
Keep in mind that grandparents are just like your parents. The respect your parents receive from you should be received by your grandparents too. 5. Make them feel the importance of their existence
You should make your grandparents feel that they hold a very valuable place in your life. Respect and love them with boundless regard and this is for sure going to make them feel happy and important. Caring, loving and respecting would be a precious gift for any grandparent. 6. Try to understand them
Mocking and ridiculing grandparents is only going to hurt them and of course you. Children should try to know and appreciate that grandparents fall into an older generation and not in their new generation. It often happens that grandparents think a way differently from kids and accepting changes becomes very difficult for them.
Always show gratitude for all the little things they have done. Believe in your grandparents and their blessings will certainly help you pass through the toughest phases of your life.

Even though television can inform, entertain and keep your children company, it can also affect them in uninvited ways. Below are some disadvantages of watching Television. 1. Television drives children away from a healthy life
The time spent viewing TV drives children away from vital activities like school work, reading, exercise, playing, family interaction, social development and mental development. Children may acquire knowledge from television both in an inappropriate or appropriate way, but chances of the wrong influence is higher. Kids often are not able to differentiate between the reality and the fantasy presented on TV. Thousands of commercials that are broadcasted each year such as ads for junk food, alcohol, toys, and fast foods, etc. influence children greatly. 2. TV ruins both health and study
Kids, who are into watching TV, a lot, are probable to score low grades in school and high schools, read fewer books, become overweight, exercise less, become violent, have race, sexuality and gender stereotypes, become addicted to drug and alcohol. Young minds are vulnerable and may adopt all that they see on TV without knowing whether it is safe, acceptable and typical. Consequently, TV also exposes kids to attitudes and behaviors that may be difficult and overwhelming to understand. 3. Watching excess of television can hamper child’s health
The eyesight of a child can degrade and child can also invite undesirable diseases. The radiations emitted from television can have harmful effects on child’s eyes and can cause damage as well.

Active parenting session with children can ensure that child have a constructive experience with TV. 3. Parents can help solving television issues by watching TV shows with their children, choosing developmentally suitable shows, placing boundaries on the time of television watching (per day or per week), turning off the Television during study time and family meals, turning off TV shows you feel are not appropriate for your kid. 4. In addition to the entire above, parents can help by not allowing their children to watch long hours of TV, and help them choosing individual programs. Parents can select shows that come across the growing needs of their child. Kids’ shows broadcasted on public Television are correct, but some soap operas, adult talk shows and adult sitcoms are not. Parents should set particular time periods when the TV will be on and when it will be turned off. 5. Parents should also set study times so as their child sit for learning and not in front of Television. Television should not be turned on during meal times.
