How Culture Affects The Way We Think

Something that is within us all. Culture is that very essence that is in all of us. The way we see the world and how the world sees us is through our culture. Without it we would culturally be no one so we have to thank the people that made us culturally advantaged.The way we got raised and what we let in our lives also impacts our culture and shapes us. Each day you gain something new from the people around you
In the short story “How Culture Affects The Way We Think” there is the quote that says ‘Culture is like water for a fish,it is the only thing we know.” This means we get so used to our own culture it is the only way we end up seeing the world. Also, since fish when not in water for a bit start dying, that is the same for us. When we do not participate in our culture or try things from culture you can get lonely and it is hard to adapt to a new culture.
This also happens to someone who has lived in a country and moves to another country and knows nothing of it. In America, you have to speak english, so if you come from Mexico you usually get treated differently because you more dark skinned and you have a weird accent and just for dressing differently. In Mexico, there is also not great studies so they do not teach much as here in America so for not knowing something you can get made fun of. This explains how being culturally “different” affects how the world sees
