Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809, in Hardin county, Kentucky. Lincoln’s early life was really rough.When lincoln was seven years old his family moved to Indiana. At age nine lincoln’s mother died of milk sickness. Also during lincoln’s early life lincoln really had time for school. Lincoln also never got a proper education until age fourteen.
Abraham lincoln’s adult life. Lincoln started as the partner in a
grocery store that failed, leaving him with a heavy burden of debt. He became a surveyor for a time. He also became a village postmaster. He also did various odd jobs, including rail splitting. All the while he sought to improve his education and studied law. Then in 1861 Abraham lincoln became the sixteenth president of the united states. Just a few weeks later the civil war broke out. It lasted from April 12, 1861, to May 9th, 1865. Lincoln won the civil on may 9th but just a few days later lincoln let his bodyguard have the night off and John Wilkes Booth assassinated lincoln in ford’s theater . Lincoln then died at the age of 56.
