Adolf Hitler was born on April 20,1889 in Braunau, Austria. His inability to excel in school caused him to quit at the age of sixteen. In 1907, Hitler went to the Academy of Fine Arts but he was unsuccessful in that as well. In 1913, Hitler left Vienna and went to Munich, Germany to join the military forces. After the loss of World War I, Germany’s economy was suffering from the huge payments of reparations they had to pay from accepting responsibility of World War I. The treaty of Versailles led to the loss of faith in their German government. The loss of a world war and having to pay reparations is what drove these people to the desire for a new government. Hitler stepped out to disagree with the reparations, this gave him the shot of being the new face of Germany. The German people lost faith in their current government which allowed the word-twisting Adolf Hitler to rise to the position of power. His words brought hope to the German people for a change. He promised the people a new Germany. The Nazi Party was favored more by the lower middle class, young people, and unemployed. They were seen as a new hope to make Germany great again, similar to America now with Donald Trump. This rise to power was almost immediate. The crash of the stock market led to the depression. He invaded countries to show the power of Germany. Hitler lied to people, made pacts, and invaded them. He made a deal with Stalin that if Russia didn’t interfere that he would give him half of Poland. Stalin agreed not to interfere and Hitler invaded Russia. This is what caused Russia and Germany to go to war. In the end, Hitler killed himself and Russia defeated Germany, causing the Nazi Party to surrender. He killed himself by drinking poison because he did not want to go on trial for his actions when he got captured. Seven days later Germany surrendered (World Book 238b).
