How Did Al Capone Cause Crime
Al Capone was born on January 17, 1899 – January 25, 1947. Al Capone was a notorious gangster who ran the streets of Chicago. His nickname was Scarface because he had a scar and everyone notice him for it. He ran the streets of Chicago for seven- years as a crime boss. And was one of my favorite person to read and learn about on TV shows.
Capone was born in Brooklyn in New York City to some Italian immigrants. He was considered a Five Points Gang member who became a bouncer for a strip club. In his early twenties, He decided to move to Chicago and became a body guard for a Johnny Torrio, head of a criminal syndicate who illegal supplies and sells alcohol. A conflict with the North Side Gang was Capone’s rise and fall. Torrio went in retirement because he was almost killed by some North Side gunmen, which handed control to Capone. Capone will target Voting booths where Thompson’s opponents were thought to have supported, on the polling day of April 10, 1928, in the so-called Pineapple Primary, causing the death of 15 people or less. Belcastro was accused of a murder for a lawyer Octavius Granady, an African American who didn’t like Thompson candidate for the African American vote, so he was killed.
The 1929 Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre led to the public disagreement about Thompson alliance with Capone which led Anton J. Cermak winning the Mayor election on April 6, 1931. Capone was widely assumed to have been responsible for ordering hits on Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre to try and attempt to kill Bugs Moran, the head of the North Side Gang. Moran was the last survivor of the main North Side gunmen; his succession had come about because his similarly aggressive predecessors Vincent Drucci and Hymie Weiss had been killed in the violence that followed the murder of original leader Dean O’
