Andrew Jackson’s presidency had a massive impact on the development of democracy and he did advance democracy. Democracy is a government system in which the people of the state run. Democracy has been alive for a little over the beginning of time. It has had its ups and downs, but when it went down, Jackson made it better because of his actions. He was elected in 1829 and was very known for being the hero of the war of 1812. He was president from 1829-1837 and held advanced democracy.Democracy was advanced through the Indian Removal Act, tariffs, and the spoils system.
