At the age of 12 Benjamin was apprenticed to his brother james, a printer. He mastered printing in his early times. He achieved this between 1718 and 1723 which also the same time that he learned how to effectively write and he read tirelessly. signed “silence dogood”. Starting from his childhood Benjamin started gaining an interest in writing and reading which led up to his career. In Benjamin Franklin's early career he couldn’t find a job in New York City at 17 so he wasn’t different from anyone else. So he went to philadelphia which was open and religiously tolerant. He made an autobiography and on his arrival he described it as tired and hungry. Philadelphia was when he would start his career but at this time he didn’t know that. In the 1740 electricity was something scientist worked and something people enjoyed in the winter of 1746-47 Benjamin and his 3 friends began to investigate a subject that no one else wanted to even try in his time because they didn’t want to do something other than do magic tricks with electricity. From his research he did an experiment during a thunderstorm with nothing but a kite and a key and from that experiment he discovered that there is a difference between insulators and conductors. From doing something dangerous other scientist tried the same thing and it worked. From that he created two inventions the lightning rod and batteries. The lightning rod was used to deflect lightning off of houses he created batteries to store electrical charges. Benjamin Franklin wanted to explore something new that no one wanted to do or a subject someone wanted to explore in. Benjamin franklin has inspired people like thomas edison the first person to make a lightbulb with Benjamin Franklin's idea. Benjamin Franklin didn’t get much time at school to study but he found a way to self teach himself to read, write, and do math. It didn’t matter if he was poor he still found a way to succeed he didn’t only figure out electricity he signed the constitution of the United States and in our current day he is one the first person to be on a dollar bill which is the $100 bill one of the most valuable and he wasn’t even a president. In conclusion Benjamin Franklin has been very successful and influenced us today in our computers t.v’s etc. Benjamin Franklin was highly recognized in public after the amazing phenomenon he figured out.
Benjamin franklin wasn’t only a scientist he was also a printer and a little bit of a writer. Benjamin Franklin was recruited in the United States cabinet. He was working with George washington and others to make the constitution he even signed it with everyone else involved. Benjamin Franklin never gave up and that’s how he got his face on the most valuable bill in the United States which is the $100 bill which has changed during the years. After he finished with the kite experiment he made two inventions that may or may not changed
lives. Benjamin franklin made the lightning rod and batteries which were both essential.
The lightning rod reflect lightning away from houses and the battery stored electric energy which
Is still being used today in some toys and other appliances and anything that is powered with electricity. Today Benjamin’s grave is filled with millions of pennies to represent his saying which was “A penny saved is a earned”. This has gone on for decades and it has been counted for and was totaled up to 1million pennies. Sadly over the years the grave has started to crack because of erosion and all the pennies that were thrown now they need more money to replace it and they already have raised over $1,000. Once that grave is finished everyone will continue loving Ben.
