How Did Bill Gates Influence Society
Bill Gates, through his career of success, made a strong imprint on American society. As an adolescent, he attended in Lakeside School. At this establishment, Gates had the opportunity to interact with computers, blossoming his love for them. He quickly went from using them to experimenting with programming, developing recreational games such as tic-tac-toe. However, while attending Harvard, Gates took his skill to a new level when he, along with Paul Allen, formed a BASIC Program that would run on the Altair. After successful in their attempts, the two ran off to form Microsoft. From here, Gates was really able to affect the lives of all American citizens. Through his innovation, Bill Gates was able to influence American society through technology more than anyone of his time period. Gates is a very accomplished man. From a two-man operation, the corporation expanded into a billion dollar business. It is a tremendous feat to have turned a low-level company into a business that is worth that much. Another noteworthy achievement is that Gates is the richest man as of today. This is quite remarkable and makes it even more of a huge accomplishment as obtaining that much wealth isn’t facile. Gates was able to acquire it through his smart tactics and his knowledge of business. He is now worth a net value of $87.4 billion. In addition, Gates is a generous philanthropist. Starting an organization known as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Gates was able to donate over thirty billion dollars towards bettering global health and development. Because of this, Gates is a very charitable man. Gates indeed has accomplished much throughout his life. Gates’ influence has left a huge impression on technology greater than that of any other man, through Windows 95, Microsoft Office 365, and the Xbox.     In Mr. Gates early life, he was born as William Henry “Bill” Gates III on October 28, 1955. Mr. Gates was born in a wealthy family, his father was a lawyer and his mother served on the board of directors for First Interstate Banc System and the United Way, he also has two sisters.
