How Did Edgar Allan Poe Begin His Writing

Edgar A. Poe is said to of started writing his first pieces when he was only a small schoolboy. He would write on the back of Allans ledger sheets as a way of showing that he did not want to become apart of the tobacco business, but rather become a famous poet one day. By the time he was thirteen he had written enough poetry that he was able to publish his own writings into a book. Poe continued writing poems and short stories throughout his childhood and young adult years.
