Street. This is special because it expressed perseverance of blacks, especially women to be accepted in society.
Florence Mills also had a “Mills sisters” group with her real sisters. The group was basically well performed singing and dancing.
This group is what she was in growing up with her sisters (Olivia and Maude) Mills parents were enslaved both simon and john winfrey. I think that’s why I have the most respect for florence. It wasn't really easy for Florence, her parents were enslaved so part of the reason on why she danced was to raise money, but some of it was just because they loved dancing.Growing up just at 7 Florence already begun to dance. This point is what really helped Florence become noticed. Her and her sisters would perform at theaters in Harlem to raise money as
well.
Florence Mills death was another enormous impact. Mills unfortunately became very ill in her 30s. Unfortunately she had to return back to the state. Florence died in New York City November 1st from appendicitis. She was most definitely loved and revered by her fans. Ten thousands of people came to pay their respect at Mount Zion A.M.E. Church funeral. Books are still made for her and she is well known as the queen of happiness and my inspiration. I now read all of her books written as well.
Also for the last paragraph I just wanted to add additional facts about Mills. Florence was not only a dancer, but she was a comedian. Florence traveled literally all over the world. She is my inspiration because i want to do the same thing when im older and i can go with my friends. Florence also sang songs. Florence was active from 1901 to 1927.
In conclusion, Florence Mills has done a lot of wonderful things. She was famous for wonderful wonderful things. Florence participated in over 300 flawless performances, throughout her life. She had an unstoppable Mills Sisters group with her sister (Olivia and Maude). Sadly, she lastly died from appendicitis. Overall, Mills had a good and wonderful life and I am happy that I chose her.
