American abolitionist, publisher, and a social reformer. Frederick Douglass supported the human rights
and women rights. He promoted freedom to himself. Douglass the Abolitionist Leader he wanted to
promote freedom to all slaves. Douglass published a newspaper in New York called The North Star.
Douglass main purpose was to abolish slavery in all its forms. Douglass wants to abolish racism.
Douglass was known for his ability to speak out and inspire the audience.

They worked on the women’s rights intensively. Douglass published a newspaper to support the
women rights. Fredrick Douglass was the leader for the women movement; he says that the majority of
men now are ruling over women’s in everything. His purpose of this movement was to give the
women’s equal rights and it will benefit all people not women’s only. And this will promote to all
mankind everywhere and in all ages.
Fredrick Douglass fought for his own freedom. His chose to be free. He suffered to gain his freedom in
his days no one showed sympathy to him, he was treated badly. One day he decided to be a free man,
he faced many barriers but he knew who to control them. Frederick remained until know a symbol for all
people for freedom.
Frederick Douglass was one of the most leaders in freedom and human rights of African Americans.
His most important legacy was his use of words and his oratory to fight for the freedom and rights of the
people especially the African American; they were mistreated and did not gain the freedom their
supposed to have. His use of word and ability to stand up and talk to people helped and grew up in
every African American slaves heart a desire of freedom. He published “The North Star” newspaper
