How Did Frederick Engels Respond To The Industrial Revolution?

During the 18th and 19th centuries, Britain was experiencing a lot of changes in all aspects of their society due to the Industrial Revolution. The scientific advances as well as the technological innovations in Britain allowed this booming industrial advancement that had never been seen before. The population was rising, the economy was growing, and agriculture production was at an all-time high resulting in a lot of wealth and better quality of life for some people. Yes, all of these improvements to the nation were amazing from a progressive standpoint, but the people who were behind this revolution and working to keep it going had a much different view on things that most people failed to recognize, except Frederick Engels. Engels, born in Germany in 1820, eventually became a social scientist, political theorist and an author.
After he visited England he knew that the working class had the potential to support communism. Engels noticed that the proletariats, also known as the working class in England, had to try and survive day in and day out because the environment that they were exposed to around the clock was so dangerous and ghastly. This is surprising considering these people were essentially the backbone of the revolution and one would think they would be treated fairly and with respect.
