In Act III Scene I Ophelia is trying to return “love letters” back to Hamlet that he wrote her.She say “My honored lord you know right well you did and with them words of sweet breath composed as make the things more rich” This Is one of the few times throughout the story were Hamlet can be truthful about his feelings because he knows no one but Ophelia will read the letters.In The letter Hamlet say”Doubt thou the stars are fire,Doubt that the sun doth move, Doubt truth to be a liar,But never doubt I love”(Act II Scene II) he basically want her to know his love for her is real no matter what. …show more content…
Now when ever Hamlet and Ophelia were in public he would say rude things to her such as”Go thy ways to a nunnery” although it sounds harsh he only say that because of the circumstances of him being spied on..Hamlet told Ophelia “I did once love you “in Act III Scene I so this proves that he does love because he just confessed it to her. But he also goes on to say “ I love you not “ only because he know for fact that Ophelia dad is spying on them because he even asked Ophelia “where’s your father “then she replies “At home ,my lord” but hamlet doesn't fall for it and he say to her “Let the doers be shut upon him,that he may play fool no where but in’s own house.” What he is trying to tell her is he knews that her dad is watching them right now as they speak.In Act
