On April 20, 1889, in Austria, Alois Hitler and Klara Polzl birthed their fourth child; Adolf. Growing up as a child, Hitler frequently clashed with his father, Alois. At about 11 years old, Adolf’s younger brother, Edmund, died. This death impacted Hitler deeply. Adolf became detached and introverted from others. Then in 1903, three years after the death of Edmund, Adolf’s father, Alois, died. Only two years later, his mother, Klara, died as well. Hitler and his four siblings were now the only ones left in their immediate family. Two years later, Adolf left for Vienna, Austria, where he worked as a casual laborer and a watercolor painter. Hitler made little money besides from his orphan pension selling postcards, so he lived in homeless shelters.
