In 1935 Hitler began to re arm Germany by rebuilding its military. All necessary war material were being manufactured in factories across Germany. As a result of world war one the Rhineland was to be a demilitarized zone, but in 1936 Hitler Ignored that rule and went ahead and sent troop into the Rhineland to give his Blitzkriek strategy a head start. Hitler incorporated the Sudetenland and austria in his reign of terror with little effort. There was hardly any resistance in both lands when Hitler invaded. The rest of Europe especially Great Britain fell victim to appeasement which is giving in to their demands in hopes they would be satisfied, but they learned quickly that that approach on the situation would not be enough to satisfy the Hitler’s greed. Nevil Chamberlin who was the prime minister of Great Britain at the time was the one responsible for appeasing Nazi Germany by giving in to their demands. Because of this Hitler had a weakened military because he is exhausting all of his troops and resources to continue his Blitzkriek tactic.Germany successfully took over france and had troops stationed in france. Great Britain was at an advantage because of their location and control of the English Channel. When the British went on the offensive they had to land on the beaches of Normandy in France and had to fight their way to Germany.
