How Did Hitler's Use Of Propaganda
In history, the message dictators use to lure in supporters is usually their strive to help the little guy or working class. The Treaty of Versailles, that helped end the previous world war, actually helped Hitler fuse another world war with the use of propaganda. Hitler, ironically wrote in his book to lure the working class Mein Kampf, “Propaganda works on the general public from the stand point of an idea and makes them ripe for the victory of this idea.” As a result to all these problems, Hitler was able to blame Jews, homosexuals, and Africans. He discriminated and used all his power to see that his plan of a perfect German society carried out. Although Adolf Hitler’s plan didn’t fully work out the way he wanted, he killed over eleven

The word propaganda is often used in a negative sense, especially for politicians who make false claims to get elected or spread rumors to get their way. In fact, any campaign that is used to persuade can be called propaganda. War is a state of armed conflict between societies. It is generally characterized as extreme aggression, destruction, and usually high mortality. Adolf Hitler combined these two terms into one, and strategically did so in the psychological warfare of World War II. Hitler used propaganda in a handful of ways, and made a war weapon of it. He intended to dehumanize, maneuver, and to decept the nation in insidious ways, and propaganda was a main contributor. Influences worldwide were…

One specific type of propaganda used by the Nazis in WWII was the propaganda “fear”. The Nazis used this to persuade the Germans and everyone else if they don’t get rid of the jews no they will overpower and eventually destroy what they had accomplished. The Nazis would use “fear” by making posters, books, speeches, etc. saying if they don’t eliminate the jews the jews would eliminate them. The United States used the propaganda “fear” as well by claiming if they did not lock away the Japanese-Americans we would all be killed because they were “spies”. The United states used the propaganda fear to have the Japanese-Americans incarcerated and to have fellow people believe they were spies. As you see from history the propaganda fear that was…

Literature can be an extremely powerful tool of persuasion. One man with one idea has the potential to influence hundreds, thousands, or even millions of people through writing. In fact, one particularly influential piece of literature convinced an entire population of people to ostracize, shun, and even murder their fellow citizens. Compelling texts such as Hitler’s Mein kampf allow me to believe that literature could be considered propaganda. These pieces of literature, when written to pacify a specific audience, can strongly appeal to humanity’s “passions”, as Plato suggests. I believe that authors use literature as a vehicle to demonstrate their personal beliefs and influence their audience to share those beliefs.…

Propaganda is often seen as negative, because of its use of exaggerated statistics or false statements to manipulate whomever is looking at that poster or advertisement to believe that it’s true. For example, the propaganda in Nazi Germany, they would control what the German citizens could see, read, and hear. Dr. Joseph Goebbels, was put in charge by Hitler, in order to control the propaganda that the public population had access to. Therefore, it was his job to make sure that the German citizens were only allowed contact to what made the Nazi campaign seem like the best and only opinions they had. Goebbels said “The essence of propaganda consists in winning people over to an idea so sincerely, so vitally, that in the end they succumb to…

“Hitler’s powerful persuasive manner helped him win the vote. According to Sophie Fullerton-Smith secondary source, essay writer (2015) “Hitler started in the places which had the most mistreated people, he knew would people would listen to him.” He gave them what he knew they needed. Encouragement. “He made them lots of vague promises and used simple catch phrases repeated over.” Hitler’s campaigning was very well structured, making all the people wait, while building up the tension. Hitler’s tone throughout his many speeches and rallies was very compelling and had people by the end of it wide eyed and screaming. He promised something to everyone employment, prosperity to the failed businessmen profits to the industry expansion to the army and deal harshly with the ‘enemies’ of Germany, whom he blamed for Germany’s defeat. He appealed to the patriotism of Germany after the shame of WW1.” When the election finished things ran smoothly for a short time but soon after that Hitler’s true colours showed and Germany saw the kind of person he was and the cruel things he did. The German citizens voted for Hitler they wanted him to lead their country they chose to have Hitler lead them just like how some of them chose to do what Hitler said and follow his orders to kill innocent…

The Holocaust was a very brutal event that took place in Europe in the 20th Century. It was genocide; Adolf Hitler and the Nazis murdered about 6 million Jews. This began after Hitler was announced Chancellor of Germany on January 30, 1933. The Holocaust did not affect just Germany, but the whole world. Hitler with his convincing speeches persuaded many people to go against the Jews. He formed a political party called the Nazis and together they ruined many Jews’ lives. To get more people to join them, they created propaganda that made it seem like the Jews were bad people. The main way used to kill Jews was sending them to concentration camps. The camps were very terrible, many dead bodies were found stacked up together after the Holocaust…

Even though the outcome of World War II was influenced by the technology utilized by the nations participating in the war, the outcome was also dependent on a manipulative form of information. That manipulative form of information is also known as “propaganda.” During World War II, propaganda was used to effectively: demoralize enemies, spread news, increase country morale, and indoctrinate civilians. Thanks to the use of propaganda, the outcome of the world favored the Allied Powers, but it also affected the core values of societies during and after World War II. World War II propaganda caused the populations of Japan, United States, Great Britain, Germany, and the Soviet Union to change their core value from “treating people ethically and…

Hitler aims to legitimize his ideology through referencing religious rhetoric. “Since those days of treason, the Almighty has withdrawn his blessing from our nation” . In this quote, he indirectly implies that treason is a sin—sin is the act of rebellion against the sovereign God—the blessing of God cannot be present until sin (treason) is extinct in Germany. Next, Hitler aims to remind the German people the outcome of the November 1918 civil revolution. He emphasizes the tragic consequences of the civil conflict to prevent a similar revolution in the upcoming years. By declaring, “The delusion that some are the conquerors and others the conquered destroys the trust between nations and thereby also destroys the world economy” , Hitler covertly inspires his audience to envision the possibility of “equality” being reinstated in the nation by the government. Hitler intends to gain the loyalty of the “middle and artisan class” because they are the largest population; with the support of the majority, Hitler hopes to become an indispensable leader. He continues to use psychological and emotional tactics to frighten the German population of the possibility of starvation in the country. Hitler states, “If the German farmer also is involved in this collapse, we shall be faced with a catastrophe of vast proportions” , essentially reminding them of what could be their worst nightmare. Hitler continues to reiterate, “Communist methods are poisonous”, and therefore the noble Germans must avert an…

The way Hitler did this was by giving passionate speeches to huge masses of people. Stewart Ross says in his book Causes and Consequences of World War II, "Hitler was one of the best public speakers that Germany had ever seen. Hitler gave the people hope they needed to get though the suffering they were enduring."(27) Though his political expertise and the state in which Germany was in, the people nominated Hitler as Chancellor. After he was nominated, Hitler soon took over the entire government and became the dictator of Germany. His second goal was to eliminate the Jewish population in Germany. The Jews became the common enemy of Germany and nothing would stop Hitler from achieving the goal of destroying all of the Jews. Eventually, Hitler expanded his hatred toward other people. Hitler had created in his mind the perfect race in which only the Germany that fit certain criteria, such as blonde hair and blue eyes, could live in his perfect society. Other people such as the handicapped, the mentally ill, and homosexuals were victim to his purification of Germany. But Hitler did not just have Germany in mind of his ethnic cleansing. Hitler wanted to eventually concur the world. He wanted the Third Reich to be the only power in the world and he wanted to be in control of it all. Also, Hitler felt he needed praise. Alan Bullock says in his book Hitler, "No less striking was his constant need of praise. His vainity…

In the book, Mein Kampf, Hitler wrote, “By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise.” In other words Hitler stated that with propaganda he could change people's attitudes like making them acknowledge that something might be horrible, look like it’s the right thing to do. In the same way, Hitler had many propaganda’s saying that: Jews were responsible for the failure of Germany in World War I, blame of military reduction, cause for the Great Depression, and also, for the struggle that germany faced during that period. Which made it seem the Jew’s were bad people and the problem to many other people. This had a big impact on people's…

Hitler used words to convince people. After the WWI, Hitler accused the Jews of starting the war and decimating all of Germany. That is why Hitler thinks that they should be the one's being punished for all of the destruction that "they" caused. Then he went to jail and wrote Mein Kampf and that is the first time that the power of words came to play in for Hitler. This is still unknown, but someone set a building on fire and Hitler came out saying; “See what the Communists did! They are the ones that should take full credit for the building setting on fire! After that incident, Hitler started off small and began making his way up to classes like communists and then the Jews. They should be paying for it!" Then everyone thought that his words were the ones that they needed and should have followed. They then elected him as the chancellor and started "The Nazi Party." He then created a law that he could rule for four years without consulting Reichstag. He started first with communists and worked his way up to the Jews. He wanted to show everyone that that him and his legion resistant Nazi Germany and that they had the power to rule over everything using there main weapon, words.…
