How Did James Madison Influence The 13 States To Accept The Constitution
James Madison, was the fourth president of the United States. He pushed for the Bill of Rights during the time he was a Representative in the first U.S. Congress. Madison also was one of the writers of The Federalist Papers. They helped influence the 13 states to accept the new Constitution. He became known as “Father of the Constitution” because he wrote most of the Constitution for our country.

He won the presidency easily defeating his opponent, Charles Pinckney, with the votes of the electoral college. After he was president for 3 years, the U.S. declared war against Great Britain which was known as the War of 1812. This war lasted more than 2 years.
