But in these earlier years of her writing it wasn't successful to the point that during the Civil War she worked as a nurse. But during all her early publishes she wrote under pen names. Until she found great success with "Little Women" which was published in 1869. Up until her death she had many more novels written which include "Little Men" and Jo's Boy's.
