The most prominent English Football player, Jimmy Hill, died at the age of 87 due to Alzheimer.
Jimmy has played for England’s Fulham and Brentford teams. Later on, he joined Coventry.
For seven years, Jimmy has battled with Alzheimer’s disease. In 2008, the disease was diagnosed.
For past three years, Jimmy was living in daycare near the south coast in England.
The great pioneer of English Football team, was credited for changing modern football round the world.
Later on, Hill joined the television screens and became one of the most familiar faces.
Jimmy had a massive impact on his viewers. His wife, Bryony Hill, with the heartbreaking news gave the interview. She
said that Alzheimer is a severely horrible disease.
In this disease, people forget things, they do not even remember their close relations. She told the media that, Jimmy was not able to recognize her at the age of 35.
The terrible disease lost their connections but a warm smile was comforting for Hill.
In 1957, Hill became the chairman of Professional Footballers’ Association during his successful career. The revolutionary thinker then take the hold of Coventry City.
The club is entirely grateful for the changes he has brought in them, in the city and his supporters.
With more than 600 appearances, Jimmy has presented the BBC’s Match of the Day.
At PFA, Hill succeeded for gaining the maximum wage for players though at his time he would not be able to earn more than £20 a week. He has paved the way for multi million pound football players of today.
In 1981, Hill introduced the rule of ‘three points for a win’ and established all seater stadium. The modern game thus transformed into the most exciting spectacle.
For 40 years, Hill has remained a broadcaster. In 1999, Hill joined Sky Sports where he fronted the show named, Jimmy Hill’s Sunday Supplement. In this show a panel was selected to discuss on current issues related to football.
