This also meant that the tiles did not have to be placed on the concrete one at a time. Utzon knew that he wanted to create a white effect for the Sydney Opera House. He was aware that the hot Australian sun would create a glare. To avoid the glare Utzon created a unique tile.
The tile was two layered. The first tile was a white clay covered with a fine mesh and then fired.

Joseph Cahill” to help mould a better and more enlightened community”.
In my opinion the Sydney Opera House is extremely successful. To date it is one of
Australia’s top tourist icons. Every year the Sydney Opera House is visited by 8.2 million people from all over the world. It is the busiest Performing Arts Centre and presents more than 2000 shows every year. The Sydney Opera House attracts artists from all over the world. As well as performing artists it also the home of many art exhibitions. And the whey Utzon has designed the Opera House is very unique and shows people that anything can be achieved. And the way that every single prefab concrete paces was designed and built speretly show Utzon could create a shell shaped building. And how
Utzon made showr the opera house would not Couse glare by making the tiles a glazed dusty colour. In my opinion the materials used and the design process proves that you can challenged regular processes, designs and use of materials whilst maintaining integrity in your profession and a unique renown
