After the death of Joseph Stalin, Soviet diplomacy changed drastically. Soviets Changed from a rigid theory of “you are with us or against us,” to a peace offensive. Now they divided the world into two groups the war zone and the peaceful zone. Soviets started to trade with countries in the peaceful zone if they do not interfere Soviet Union goals. They also wanted to have a closer relationship with western countries to demonstrate they had become a world power. Third world countries started to incline to soviet’s economic strategies because they thought they had more to offer.
