The people loved Caesar, they went as far as to worship him like a god, all because he ran the Roman Empire more efficiently than the Aristocrats (who were the wealthiest and most influential in Rome) and helped the people when they needed it. In “Killing Caesar” it is stated “Never had Rome been governed so well, or so efficiently” simply put Caesar ran a tight ship. There are some who believe that Caesar was just a power hungry man who wanted to be on the throne just to be in charge. It is easy to say that Caesar only did the things he did to give himself a better P.R but mind you, some of the things he did, he did in private. Simply put Caesar was not a tyrant, giving the people things that they needed to survive. Caesar was a great man, making people’s lives more comfortable, making faster decisions, expanding the Roman Empire. But he was killed by petty power hungry senators who just couldn’t even bear the thought of losing the power that they had gained. All in all Caesar was doing everything for the benefit of Rome and its people.
