Khaled Hosseini arguably a very strong and powerful Arthur. From his very first novel The Kite Runner, he was able to make a really good name and impression for himself. This all allowed him to keep writing more and more novels. When writing The Kite Runner Khaled Hosseini had many possible events that have influenced him to write the novel. Hosseini grew up in a small village of Kabul Afghanistan, his father was a part of the government so living in Afghanistan was never a problem for him, he did not go through any poverty or anything. With the soviet taking over Kabul, Hosseini and his family leave and move to San Jose California. It is evident that the main purpose of Hosseini leaving his him was because of the Taliban: “The Hosseini sought and were granted political asylum in the United States, and in September, 1980 they moved to San Jose California” ( Khaled Hosseini- Biography). This quote represents how Khaled Hosseini struggled with corrupt political system, causing him to move from his home country to a foreign country. Similarly, in the novel The Kite Runner Hosseini shows similar aspects by writing about the fact that Amit and his father were forced to leave their home country to California: “Baba loved the idea of America. It was living in America that gave him the ulcer” (Hosseini, 155). After living in Afghanistan, they have not had the easiest life, experiencing living in America was something new and amazing for them. Though they may not have had the best lifestyle they were still very fortunate to be living where they knew that the Taliban would not kill them. This all related back to the universal truth, that hard work always pays off. Since Amir and his father were able to move out and actually leave their homeland, it all paid off since they did not end up dying by the
