He knew that something had to be done about racism and so did everyone else but he was the one to be brave enough to stand up for it. 250,000 people had a peaceful protest by marching to the washington memorial. There Martin Luther King Jr. gave his historic “I have a Dream” speech on the steps of the Washington Memorial on August 28, 1963. That speech brought many many people together and certainly made its mark in history as the day 250,000 people marched to listen to one man one very important man give one speech that brought many people together.
