Clive Staples Lewis changed the world, in ways that are sometimes hard to detect, few know, however, the story of his life. It started on the twenty-ninth of November in 1898, when Mr. Lewis was born. He grew up in an Ulster Protestant family who, at the time, lived in Belfast, Ireland (C. S. Lewis Biography). S. Lewis’ life was thoroughly littered with achievements, most of which have left a mark on today’s society. Mr. Lewis lived in a time when the Christian church was still rather active in government affairs. Most would expect Clive to agree with theocracy or any sort of Christian involvement in the government, considering he believed in Christianity. Contrary to this Clive was not shy about sharing how he thought that Christianity or a Christian party had no place in the government. This way of thinking spread from him (and some others) and set the way for a future political system with little to no church involvement (Political Magic of C. S. Lewis). If there is one thing that Christianity demands of its followers it is that they defend their religion. This was something that C. S. Lewis not only did, but he excelled at it. Over his radio talks, he spoke of ways to defend Christianity to others, but not to press it onto others. These radio talks showed others like him ways of defending their religion, which has changed the way that Christian people defend themselves today (Relevance of C. S. Lewis). Other than his radio talks, Clive’s novel Mere Christianity also speaks of his views on conversion, defending the religion, and many of his futuristic views. These futuristic views spread and the views that Clive Staples talks in that novel about match well with today’s views on many subjects. Undoubtedly Mr. Lewis’ release of Mere Christianity helped to spread these views, meaning that he had set the stage for change in society, and society changed. Many people at the time thought the book, Mere Christianity, was a disgrace; however, now people look up to Clive Lewis Staples as one of the most accomplished authors of all time and cannot exaggerate the effect he has had on today’s society (Why Mere Christianity Received Bad Reviews). There is no doubt that what Clive S. Lewis accomplished in his life affects the world
