Muhammad Ali was born in January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. He had a wife-- Lonnie Ali and nine children-- Laila Ali, Maryum Ali, Rasheda Ali, Asaad Amin, Hana Ali, Khaliah Ali, Jamillah Ali, Miya Ali, Muhammad Ali Jr. Unfortunately, his death occurred in June 3, 2016.
During the Vietnam War, the military needed troops to fight off the viet congs. Soon they started to draft people so they would be in the army. Trying to evade would be considered violating the draft evasion. The consequences include mainly getting arrested. Even though he had a right not to be drafted because he converted into a Muslim, he was still charged with draft evasion and was suspended from his boxing career for three years. All of this happened because his manager became angry. He risked losing everything for keeping his career and life. He also wouldn't wanna travel for 10,000 miles and kill people of his own kind. Muhammad also refused because why would he bring more of his kind and slave them. People of Muhammad Ali’s kind were treated like dogs. They had no rights and no freedom.
