How Did Philip Neri Influence The Youth
When Philip Neri was a young boy he lived in Rome, He had a terrible temper, He was afraid that some day he would flare up and hurt someone badly. So, he set himself to cure his temper. He determined always to be cheerful. He learned to smile all the time. He loved to laugh. He was always pleasant. People loved just to see him and have him speak to them. Especially he loved the Holy Spirit. Indeed, once the Holy Spirit was seen to come down upon the young Philip. He shone with the light of the Third person of the Trinity. Philip became a priest. He started a little church in which he gathered friends. They prayed together. They sang together. He said Mass for them. They walked in happy processions through the streets. They crowned the statue of a place to …show more content…
They called him the Apostle of Rome. He also loved to teach the youth during the cold moments in Rome it wasn’t unusual that you would find him outside preaching. Apparently, his heart was full of warmth of love. He communicated and transferred God’s word with Love and seeking the kingdom of his to us. He taught the youth mostly because they are the ones who is our future, in addition, the ones with the most problems. These are some of the reasons why many of the youth ones loved him for who he was and how he attracted them. He had many odd behaviors because he moved so much that he had to distract himself such as biting. He was very active throughout his life, he went outside and sometimes grabbed random people to make them do the confession. However, he was so good at it that other people convinced others to go to him to the confession with him. In the evenings he grabbed the young ones and took them to the oratory and they had these gatherings. After reading a book they were all allowed to speak from their minds. He believes that people should speak their minds on the scriptures. Saint Philip was a very positive person who supported anyone who wasn’t scared to
