be Geoffrey Chaucer, Plutarch, and most importantly the Bible. No sources that he used for ideas in any of his plays or writings can compare to the way the Bible helped him, it had a big impact on the way he wrote things. Shakespeare really admired Chaucer's work, even used some of his work for the "Queen Mab" speech in Romeo and Juliet. At one point, there was evidence that Shakespeare basically plagiarized one of North's articles that used Plutarch's work as a source. Shakespeare was inspired by Plutarch because of his positive mentality and the detail of his work. (Mabillard, Amanda. What Inspired Shakespeare?)
2.
Literary Time Period
2.1 Overview
Of all great literatures that have been written, this century is known to be the wisest of them all. Continuing literature after this century looked up to this one as examples for their own. (Reign of Elizabeth, 1558). The Elizabethan and Jacobean eras had a big impact on the lives of society and their English knowledge in multiple ways. On top of that, everything was changing, including the population, prices for things, and the ways people lived (1620s). The 16th century was a life changing time for all people.
2.2 Literary Works
This century had a big impact on how the society was changed. Once science was discovered and proved many other things, a man's power was so little he did not have the say so to command anything in nature. Many still disagreed with the fact that science can prove their knowledge instead of a man being in charge of everyone and many also agreed with it. Everyone had their way of reacting to the life changing events including the way they …show more content…
lived.
3. Historical Analysis
3.1 Historical Figures
The Historical figure that I chose was Leonardo de Vinci.
Leonardo de Vinci was known to be many things throughout his life. His early years he lived with his father, Sir Piero, because his parents had gotten divorced before he was born. His father did have something to do with his interests, like introducing Leonardo to Andrea del Verrocchio, the artist. He learned things from her, started working for her and the store next door to her workshop and became known to other people so he had multiple opportunities. His interests came to him at more of an early age. Leonardo accomplished so many things. We use so many of inventions today including the first parachute, first tank, first helicopter, paddle boat, etc. They're so common and we don’t even
know.
3.2 Major Events
The Major Event that I chose was Thanksgiving. As we all know, Thanksgiving is about thanking the people around you, thanking for what you have, and thanking by giving to each other. When the day comes we think about all the food but what we don’t think about it the story behind it all, the meaning of the day. In November 1621, was the time that the British and the Natives decided to get along by giving to each and without this ever happening, I don’t think we would be on good terms with any of the native Americans today. People did have a lot of disagreements with the holiday which caused it to undergo a lot of changes throughout the years. It was once only a holiday for some cultures but as the years went on it applied to everyone, to all religious roots, the Holiday, to be thankful for what you have *Fun fact: In Canada, thanksgiving is instead celebrated on the second Monday in October.
