Steve Jobs has a quite unusual story but it could not correlate more perfectly with his pathway to success. Steven Paul Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 to John Jandali and Joanne Schieble in San Francisco, California. Steve Jobs was adopted as an infant by Paul and Clara Jobs. As he got older, according to
Walter Isaacson, he struggled with the idea of being adopted stating that “Abandoned. Chosen. Special. Those were the concepts became part of who Jobs was and how he regarded himself” (Isaacson 81). But unknowingly the adoption was what made Steve Jobs himself. His father, who was an engine technician and car mechanic, introduced him to the world of engineering, design, and a new found passion. Even though he had a love of engineering, Jobs struggled in school because he was often bored and was always in trouble for pulling pranks. Despite all that he did, he was never punished by his parents and they made sure his school kept him engaged. After high school Jobs attended Reed College but quickly became bored so he dropped out.
