Research Question: How did the African Slave Trade help colonial and European Colonies? In the early 18th century around 36,00 slaves grew threw North and South America,and Europe.”The Spanish were the first major European Partners in the slave trade, buying slaves to labor in Spain's South American empire”(World History textbook pg 487). This textual evidence provides how many European countries were included in the slave trade but the Spanish was one of the first major countries to be included.. Wherever the slaves were left agents looked around for them and bought them for help on plantations . Around the year 1825 the United States owned almost half of the African Slaves. On each plantation they had around 125 slaves. Since none of the colonists or Europeans had any of these products invented such as cotton,sugar,and spices used for food. As African slaves put in their hard work and creating exhausting labor for both economies the labor they created such as soap helped the slaves look rich and fresh on the fields so both economies can get more profit.
