They used many non violent strategies to win their rights. They did multiple marches but one really stands out. That march was called the march on Washington. That march consisted of thousands of people white and black. They also boycotted things like buses. They boycotted bus because there was this black lady named Rosa Parks. She did not give up her seat on the bus, for a white guy. So they boycotted riding on buses which made the bus companies lose money. Then they had various types of protest. The one I am talking about was called sit ins. This where they would go to cafes and restaurant and sit at the counter or bar so whites could not sit at them. …show more content…
The first one is the March on Washington.thousands of people getting ready to march to Washington to see Martin Luther King deliver his famous “I have a dream speech.” Then the Montgomery bus boycott. They started the whole boycott over Rosa Parks a black lady that wouldn’t give up her seat in the front of the bus for a white guy. They boycott riding buses. This lead to the bus companies losing a lot of money because a great portion of the states were
