Britain was meant to be at its strongest point during 1914 and during the war periods they began to lose their grip as the wars proved too costly for the British. Around the 1940 time periods the British soon attacked Nationalists’ that were in Iran, Egypt and India at the time and this meant that the British Empire organised themselves for war. Imperialism of free trade still occurred during these time periods and the imperial system was recreated and the metropole proved to be not the only source of strength available. The British government later entered the scene on behalf of the imperialism of free trade and they thus provided in various resources on behalf of the imperialism subject. There were two main places in the world that provided them as a base for Great Britain and these were Singapore and Gibraltar. They were willing to act as two bases for the British Empire. This new system also proved to have disadvantages for the welfare of the British Empire because native leaders were overseas and not only that, by 1939 there were speculations that colonial massacre escalated from profit sharing businesses and profit sharing with native leaders abroad. Other speculations arose that British powers were used overseas with rulers or protonatioanlists. Unequal adjustments were present and British power was used abroad by leaders for their own use and their own advantages. A lot of pressure was indeed beginning to be placed on the British Empire, they were ordered to do certain things and if they weren’t then the imperial system would end up been in turmoil. One major example of this is contracts. If contracts were not equal then the colleagues would lose their principals and this then could impact negatively on their new system. There was constant pressure on the British to get things done in a certain way even at the risk of their system being in distress or turmoil. Thing soon began to turn around very shortly afterwards.
