The voyages of the Ming dynasty have gone down in history as one of the single largest naval expeditions ever assembled. Throughout history, and even today, effects of the voyages have had an impact on the world. Whether it be revolutionary technology, or a never before seen level of determination, the Ming's voyages would alter the course of history forever and begin to supplant the importance of naval dominance. Before the expedition, China was seen as a regional power with a lot of potential. After the voyages set up elaborate trade networks and trade relations had been established by a noticeable presence, riches began to flow to China. The intricate network set up means for trade between China, Southesast Asia, The Midlle East, and Africa. This allowed for rare and exotic items, animals, and ideas to be exchanged. One of the most notable effects of the voyages was in most cases, a nobel from a country that had been essentially invaded by Zheng He would be brought back to China where he would meet with the Chinese brass and cultural ideas and customs could be exchanged. China’s role in the issue stems back to the times of the Ming Dynasty when that region was originally settled by the Chinese. Eventually, the Korean Peninsula would go to war, and separate. And since post-WW2 America would not tolerate the rise of communist expansion, they naturally sided with the south.
